Getting the right fit for your competition dress is essential. Follow this guide carefully — or contact us and we'll help you personally.
All Janus Fashion dresses are handcrafted to the highest standards. For the best fit, take your measurements over your standard dancewear with the help of a second person. All measurements should be in centimetres (cm).
✦ Important: If you fall between sizes, we recommend sizing up and having the dress altered for a perfect fit. Our alterations service is available in-studio in Stevenston, North Ayrshire.
How to Take Your Measurements
Bust — Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Waist — Measure around your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso), keeping the tape snug but not tight.
Hips — Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, approximately 20cm below your waistline.
Height — Measure barefoot from the top of your head to the floor. Include your heel height for Latin dresses.
Torso / Shoulder to Waist — From the top of your shoulder, over the bust, down to your natural waistline.
