A Dress Made
Only for You
A bespoke dress is entirely handcrafted to your exact measurements and personal specifications. Unlike ready-to-wear, nothing about a bespoke Janus Fashion piece is generic — every seam, every stone, every hem is made with you in mind.
Our head dressmaker Renata, with 34 years of experience, personally oversees every bespoke commission from the first conversation to the final fitting. You will work closely with our designers to develop something truly unique.
Whether you need a Latin dress, a Ballroom gown, juvenile dancewear, or practice wear — our bespoke service covers every category, every level, and every competition.
The Bespoke Process
From first message to competition floor — here is what to expect when commissioning a bespoke Janus Fashion dress.
Contact us via the contact form, Facebook, or Instagram. Tell us about your competition date, category, level, and any design ideas you have. The earlier you contact us, the more time we have to create something exceptional.
We'll discuss your style preferences, colour palette, fabric choices, and embellishment ideas. Our designers can work from your own sketches, reference images, or build a concept entirely from scratch — the design must come from you. We arrange a video consultation at this stage via WhatsApp, Google Meet, or another platform of your choice.
Once the design and measurements are confirmed, we will provide a final price and timeline. A deposit of 50% is required to begin production. This confirms your commission and allows us to purchase materials and schedule your piece.
Your dress is now in the hands of our head dressmaker. For local clients, fittings may be arranged during production at our studio in Stevenston. Remote clients are kept updated throughout the process with photos and progress updates.
Once your dress is complete and passes quality inspection, the remaining 50% balance is due. Your piece is then carefully packaged and dispatched via tracked, signed-for delivery anywhere in the world.

Tell us about your competition, your level, and your dream dress. We will guide you through the entire process and create something truly extraordinary.
Lead times vary depending on complexity and our current workload. We recommend contacting us at least 4–10 weeks before your competition date. Get in touch as early as possible — we will always be transparent about availability.
Absolutely. The majority of our bespoke commissions are for clients across the UK and internationally. We arrange video consultations via WhatsApp or Google Meet and guide you through taking your measurements at home, with regular photo updates during production.
Yes — we welcome your own designs, sketches, and inspiration images. You can also source your own fabric if you prefer. Our designers will advise on what works best for performance and your chosen style.
